Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?  Do you have a long-term condition, such as arthritis, diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and obesity?  How well do you manage your condition or does it manage you?

‘Piki Te Ora’ and ‘Living Well with Diabetes’ are FREE self-management workshops that can help you regain control of your life.  Workshops are held in local community settings and in groups of between 10-20 participants for 7 weeks.  Family, friends and caregivers are welcome.  

Topics include: strategies for handling frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation; safe exercise and physical activity; taking medications and monitoring blood sugars safely; healthy eating; mindfulness and relaxation; communication skills that will help with family, friends and health professionals; problem solving; goal setting and making action plans.
